Developer Perspective :: Marc J. Driftmeyer

Apple joined forces with KDE by choosing the KHTML & KJS technologies mature in KDE Konqueror, for the basis of Safari's W3C Standards Compliant Browser goals. The best part as a Client/Server-Side Developer is that two more areas of Consumer space benefit by this code-reuse and joint enhancements. Both Linux and OS X get to reap the efforts of this collaboration while offering separate and mutually compelling services to both Linux and OS X, respectively. The time to deployment is reduced for development because of such cross-pollination. This is always a plus.
