Mechanics is usually subdivided into three parts: statics, kinematics and dynamics. Statics deals with the distribution of forces in bodies at rest; kinematics describes the motion of bodies and mechanisms without inquiring into the forces or other causes of those motions; finally dynamics studies the motions as they are caused by the forces acting.^[1] Mechanical engineering is an engineering discipline that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools.²
